An early 19th-century British landscape painting depicting a mother and child walking along a rural country track. In the distance, a series of peaks provide a beautiful backdrop to this traditional countryside scene.

The figures seem to be heading towards three cottages that are standing behind a field of grazing sheep. The scenery reminds us a little of the Malvern Hills, which is an area that's close to our own hearts.

Year of creation: c. 1825

Condition: One pinhole in the lower right and a dent in the upper left. But if you examine the photo of the reverse, you can see that these are both hardly noticeable.
