Pair of Landscape Oil Paintings by William J King

A pair of beautiful oil on canvas landscape scenes by William J King. The pair both show heath land areas with purple heather and yellow gorse. One work is in the bright sun of the day and the other is at dusk which is typical for companion works. The pair are in excellent condition and of a high standard of technical ability, both have been professionally cleaned. The pair are mounted in modern bespoke frames which have been handmade and gilded for these paintings. The pair are both signed William J King but not dated. William John King is not well known but his works are desirable because of there quality, he was a London based artist and exhibited during the Edwardian period and entirely at the London Salon.

The pair while quite small have together a great impact and as works are little jewels that draw you in. C.1910
