A pair of 19thC portraits of a gentleman and his partner. Rather naïve but charming in that their characters are reflected well. (Young country couple just starting out or brother and sister ?) Obviously by the same hand these paintings have been backed in hessian a long time ago to protect the canvas. No signatures or inscriptions. Some repairs to the canvas.
