A fine quality oil on canvas titled Christmas at Hampden dated 1890 and signed by the artist H.Newey in the bottom right hand corner.

The perfect picture and scene to buy someone this Christmas,reminding people of how winters used to be in late victorian times.

The iced over village pond and icey country lanes with lady collecting firewood.

A delightful moonlit sky at semi dusk with the trees finely defined against the glowing background.

Measurements are 41 1/2 Inches x 29 1/2 Inches overall to include the plaster & gilt frame.

I personally really like this picture as the subject matter is not very often seen,but is popular.
