Set of Four Prints of Rococo Scenes

A fine set of four prints showing scenes in a rococo manner. The prints are stipple engravings by William Allingham after original works by J.B.Pater, each one is signed by Allingham. The prints were produced by 'The Museum Galleries' of London who obviously ordered the work over a few years in the 1920's as they do have slightly different dates; 1922-26. The prints are all in excellent bright condition with cream mounts. The mounts have some slight discolouration in places none of which is overly diverting to the eye. The prints all retain the original frames which are good quality, in excellent condition and with original gilding. The set make a great decorative impact and it is very unusual to get a group of these prints in good condition and with such good original frames. The frames alone as a set of four with original gilt are very desirable. C.1920.
