The portrait was created by R. Christiansen in 1925 after the original by Danish artist, Morten Thrane Brünnich (1805-1861).
Dorthea was born in Aalborg, Denmark, to Skoemager and Cathrine.
One of her sons, Victor, served in the Danish army as a second lieutenant.
Inscribed with the artist’s name on the reverse.
