A really charming English school oil on board of a cow and calf. A great piece of provincial art the painting shows a cow in a field nursing her calf. The painting is signed Gibson and dated 1885 it is most likely to be a local artist. The painting has been professionally cleaned and is in good condition. The work has been later mounted in a bird''s eye maple frame which works brilliantly with it and gives it a great period look.
