James Walsham Baldock 1822-1898.Worksop animal and sporting painter.Exhibited at SS and NWS.Subjects mainly cows,but also painted horses and hunting scenes in a style derived from J.F.Herring Senior.’River Scene In Summertime with Cattle Watering’ signed watercolour dated 1876,image size 33x53 cms,framed size 57x76cms.This is a fine example of the artist’s work nicely framed in a modern gilt frame with a wash lined mount.
