French Impressionist Still Life Oil Painting

A fine and decorative French oil on board still life of a bowl of apples. The painting is typically impressionist in tone being a study in the colours of green and yellow, worked in thick impasto oils. The painting does not appear to be signed but it retains the original frame and Paris gallery label to the reverse. The painting is in excellent condition and the gilt frame is also the same, with some very minor repairs. The whole has a great French period look and is ready to hang. C.1900.
