This hand coloured woodcut depicts a figure under an arch on the embankment of the river Thames
It is 27.5cm x 21cm. The painting & signature (part showing in the frame) is 9cm x 15cm

The frame is 35cm x 32.5cm. To the reverse it bears an exhibition label stating:

Charles Ginner was born in Cannes France to British parents.He studied at the Academie Vitti in Paris.
In 1942 he became an ARA and in 1950 he was awarded a CBE. Today his work can be found in many galleries including the Tate Gallery and National Portrait Gallery
