Thomas Peters "Autumn" Oil Painting

Description

This impressive oil painting on canvas is by the Sheffield painter Thomas Peters (1863-1939). Peters studied at Sheffield College of Art under Stanley Royle and painted mostly around the Sheffield area but also painted Mediterranean scenes. He exhibited widely throughout the U.K. and on the Continent. This oil painting on canvas by Peters is signed lower left and dated 1917. It is framed in a quality old gilt frame giving an overall size of 36"x 45". On the reverse are the remains of some nice old labels giving the title "Autumn" and the artists address in Sheffield.
