Interesting oil on canvas laid to board. The scene shows the river Orwell in Suffolk with barges to the fore and in the distance the smoking chimneys of an industrial town. The painting has been professionally cleaned and a small repair made. The work retains some information on the reverse but sadly it has become obscured and would most likely have given the name of the artist.
