A miniature watercolour portrait of the poet Lord Byron after the famous portrait by Thomas Phillips. The watercolour is very finely done and is in good condition with some light fading and staining but nothing too considerable. The miniature is mounted in the original brass mount. It is difficult to date and may be period to the poet''s life but it definitely nineteenth century.
