Artist and signature: No Visible Signature, after Lorenzo Lippi
Approximate age of artwork: Circa 19th Century

The inscription to rear of the painting associates it with Cigoli but we have researched the image and found the original painting which is entitled "St Francis of Assisi Praying" by Lorenzo Lippi which is in the Louvre Museum Inventory.

Condition report: There is a split down the centre of this ivory panel, which requires professional art restoration. The artwork does have a backing which can be flexed to re-fit into position and close the crack but we have not attempted any repair, as we feel that an expert would be required to undertake this repair.
