Walter Follen Bishop 1856-1936 .Landscape artist who studied at the Liverpool School of Art and Juliens Paris.Also lived in London,Australia,South Africa and Jersey.Exhibited widely including at RBA,RI,RCA,RA, Walkers Gallery, Liverpool and elsewhere.His watercolour ‘ In the Heart of the Forest’ larger in size to the subject picture but lacking figures fetched £18,000 at Christie’s in 2007.The subject picture was auctioned in 2001 for in excess of £3000 and has subsequently been professionally cleaned.’Collecting Water in the Forest’ signed watercolour, image size74x61cms,framed size98x86 cms; accommodated in its original impressive gilt frame.A truly outstanding watercolour!
