Description

This is a beautiful antique Chinese painting in a solid mahogany frame. The painting is skilfully executed in water based gouache colours on pith paper and depicts a butterfly resting upon a the stem of a rose bloom. It has very good depth of colour and is in good condition save for a couple of small breaks to the pith as photographed. The picture measures 22 cms by 19 cms overall, including the frame.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
