Antique Equestrian Print, English Race Horse & Jockey

1900 - 1920
Description

An antique aquatint print depicting Common, a British Thoroughbred racehorse that won the English Triple Crown by winning the 2000 Guineas at Newmarket, the Derby at Epsom and the St Leger at Doncaster.

He was a large muscular horse, at over 16 hands high, that was bred in Dorset by Henry Sturt, 1st Baron Alington.

The print is nicely framed and dates to the late 19th/early 20th century.

Medium: Aquatint

Size including frame: 15½” x 14” / 39.8cm x 35.8cm

Year of creation: c. 1892 - c. 1910

Condition: Good with no issues.
