Fred Stead "Still Life" Oil Painting

Description

Fred Stead was born in Shipley, Yorkshire in 1863. He studied at Shipley School of Art and the RCA and taught life drawing at Bradford School of Art. He became Inspector of Art for the West Riding County Council and exhibited widely at galleries including the Royal Academy, Royal Cambrian Academy, Liverpool and Manchester. This attractive still life oil painting on canvas measures 20"x 24". It is signed lower left and is framed giving an overall size of 30"x 26".
