This particular gentleman wears the organisation's monogram on his top pocket and looks particularly smart in his thinned-rimmed spectacles.
Reginald Henry Campbell studied at the Royal Scottish Academy and exhibited at the Royal Academy, the Royal Society of Portrait Painters, the Society of Scottish Artists, and the Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts. He was also responsible for the iconic Ovaltine ads in the early part of the 20th century.
For this portrait, Campbell has painted onto the back of an advertising board designed to raise funds for Kensington's 'Warship Week'.
