A good pair of oil on canvas paintings of the pool of London. The pair represent the river port of London in the morning and in the evening. They are both full of interesting details but are more about capturing the tones and colours of the light at the beginning and end of the day in a very impressionistic way. The the paintings has been signed and initialled for W. Bluffield-Arnold and dated 1906. The pair have been professionally cleaned and are in excellent condition. They are framed in what appears to be the original gilt frames which are in very good untouched condition with one or two minor repairs. The whole are a great pair of impressionist oil paintings and interesting views of London.
