Artist: Wilfred Bosworth Jenkins. (1857-1936).

Title: "The Houses of Parliament and Westminster Bridge from The Embankment". Moonlight.

Signed. circa 1900. Inscribed on the reverse.

Oil on board.

Size: 6 1/4"x 17". Framed size: 11"x 21 1/4".

A really superb example of Jenkins moonlight scenes.

In very good ready to hang condition. Free UK delivery.

Wilfred Bosworth Jenkins. (1857 Stow on the Wold-1936 Leeds).

Wilfred Jenkins studied under John Atkinson Grimshaw and his influence is very evident in Jenkins moonlight paintings. Another student of Grimshaw's, Walter Linsley Meegan was a contemporary of Jenkins. These artists were based in Leeds and Scarborough, but also painted all around the United Kingdom. Their work is very popular.
