There is an extraordinary, vibrant yet soft light in this extraordinary painting by a Colourist Master from the late 19th Century. A lone figure is walking through a countryside of heather fields. Only an outline from a afar, from afar, the woman with her red headscarf comes to life when you observe her closely.

Of great quality, the painting is unsigned, and I have not yet been able identify the artist.

An oil on board, it measures 8.5 x 24cm, the overall size in an exquisite frame is 24,5 x 38.5 cm.
