A fine and charming oil on canvas painting of a black Scottish Terrier. The painting is by E.Marion.Nelson and is signed to the lower right. Mrs Nelson was an accomplished painted of dog portraits to the great and the good exhibiting 1890-1930 and her works are very desirable. The Terrier is named ''Craigburn Bard'' and the painting around the face and eyes is superb, as detail in tones of black are very difficult to achieve. The painting has been professionally cleaned and is mounted in the original gilt frame. The whole is in excellent ready to hang condition.
