A good oil on canvas portrait of a gentleman dating to the second half of the eighteenth century. The painting shows the man dressed in fine red velvet jacket with white stock and blond hair. The painting has had some professional restoration and cleaning and has been lined in the Victorian period. The painting is framed in a good quality gilt frame in the Georgian style but dating from the Victorian period. The whole is in ready to hang condition and has a great country house look. C.1760.
