Painted with watercolour on organic wafer by N Millett of 45 Oxford Street, London, in 1800, this charming miniature depicts a blue eyed young woman wearing a white dress with ruffled neckline. The backing paper does not indicate the name of the sitter. The black painted frame is of a heraldic shield design with a brass edged oval shaped domed glass. There is a chip to the upper right and left corners of the frame which appears to be the original.The condition of the painting is excellent with no chips, cracks or restoration.
