Artist: William Holmes Sullivan. R.C.A. (1836-1908).

Title: "A Roman Water Carrier".

Signed and dated 1882. (in roman numerals).

Watercolour. Contained in it's original gold leaf frame.

Size: 24"x 15 1/2". Framed size: 31 1/2"x 23".

Now in good ready to hang condition. Free UK delivery.

A fine example of Sullivan's Pre-Raphaelite work.

William Holmes Sullivan was a Pre- Raphaelite figure painter. A Liverpool artist who is represented in The Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool. He exhibited at The Royal Academy, London, Birmingham (Royal Society of Artists), Walker Art Gallery, Liverpool and at The Royal Cambrian Academy, Manchester of which he was a member.
