A fine post impressionist oil on canvas still life of a spider crab in a kitchen setting. The crab is quite strikingly created and I love the contrast in colours in the work. The work is signed and dated 1953, the signature is for ''R Voyer'' a French artist, his address is on the reverse indicating that the painting was exhibited was sent to be exhibited and the fact that there is a Salon stamp on the reverse means it was. The painting is in excellent condition and has been framed in a period oak frame which contrasts well with the painting.
