Description

A gorgeous sun flooded oil on canvas by Etienne Laget (1898-1990), the painter from Arles who lived to the age of 94.

Etienne Laget has a street named after him in Arles, and many of his works are in the Museum of the Camargue in Arles.

Our painting dates from ca 1950 and depicts the Mediterranean coast of the Camargue. It measures 33 x 46 cm. In all original condition and with its original vintage late art deco wooden frame, the overall framed size is 45 x 60 cm.
