"..Liverpool and Manchester Railway" Pair Old Prints.

Description

"Travelling on the Liverpool and Manchester Railway" are a superb pair of aquatints by S.G. Hughes with fine original colour. Plate 1 shows "A Train of First Class of Carriages with the Mail" and "A Train of Second Class for outside Passengers". Plate 2 shows "A Train of Waggons With Goods Etc." and "A Train of Carriages with Cattle". Each were published by "R. Ackermann, 96, Strand, Nov. 1831 and Jan. 1833". Each plate measures 10"x 26" and is in an old black frame giving an overall size for each of 12"x 28".
