French Unusual Modernist City View Paris Ca.1950 Moving Clouds, View from the Artist's Studio Oil on Canvas

Description

A gorgeous and atmospheric oil on canvas depicting a view over Paris, presumably from the artist's studio.

It is a striking unusual composition, with a window shutter to the right, and a beautiful sky of clouds. Overlooking warehouses and well has smart Hausmannian buildings and avenues, it is one of those paintings that allows one's eyes to roam in it.

Painted circa 1950, it painting measures 54 x 65 cm meaured without its original 1950s frame. Mysteriously, the painting is unsigned and there is no indication as to the identity of the artist, but it is a work of extraordinary quality. In all original condition, there is some light and stable craquelure in the sky area.
