Early Georgian Reverse Painted Print on Glass

A rare early Georgian reverse painted print on glass, depicting a figure representing Europe. The print is in excellent condition, the glass is perfect, though like all early glass it does have bubbles in it. The print is also in great condition the colours are bright and fresh and the figure of Europe has a great naivety to it. The print is in the original frame which would have been gilded or silvered and has now been reduced to a faded colour by centuries of cleaning, it has a great look. This is a rare item with a wonderful period charm and in just amazing condition for these glass prints. C.1750.
