Still Life Oil Painting with Oriental Fan

An interesting oil on canvas still life painting. The still life assemblage is most unusual with an oriental fan, jug and sprouting bulb. There is a general feel of the orient about the work and while it is of obvious quality and signed on the back of the canvas ‘L.K.Wight’ I cannot locate the artist, it has been suggested it may be American. The painting has been professionally cleaned and is in excellent condition. The work is mounted in what appears to be the original frame, a most unusual and dramatic shape in gilded and faux mahogany finish. The painting is ready to hang, in great condition throughout and an unusual and striking work. C.1900.
