Antique Painted Polychrome Icon

1900 - 1920
Description

This is a good late 18th / early 19th century polychrome icon. The painting of a saint wearing a crown and holding a wine glass beneath the image of Christ is in excellent order for its age with good strong colour and the paintwork intact. The image is surounded in a black edged frame with a beautiful warm orange-bronze border.

The icon measures 38 cms by 31 cms.
