He also became friends with figures of the surrealist movement such as Paul Eluard, André Breton, Marcel Duchamp, Jean Cocteau, Federico Fellini, Jean Paulhan and many others.
In 1947 the « pope of surrealism » André Breton invited Capacci to take part in the famous “International Exhibition of Surrealism” at Galerie Maeght in Paris in 1947, together with artists such as Calder, Giacometti, Miro, Picabia and Man Ray.
Works by Capacci figure in the collections of the MOMA New York, The National Gallery of Canada, the Paris Pompidou Center, and many others.
Here on offer is an oil on relined canvas dating from 1931. Situated "Capri" it was perhaps painted during a holiday . The painting, although sketchy, clearly had significance for Capacci, who signed it with a touching dedication to "Mia cara Rita, con tanto amore". The painting measures 50 x 20cm.
