Modernist Nude Study Oil Painting

A interesting oil on board life study. The piece is an art school work and is typical of the style with emphasise on colour, form and texture. The work is done in thick impasto paint using a palette knife, with bold contrasting colours. The painting is not signed as such work often isn't but there is a high degree of competency to the painting and it has a dramatic impact. The painting is mounted in a modern bespoke grey painted frame. C.1950.
