Georgian Miniature Painting Infant Child

Description

This is a charming miniature portrait of a young child, one William Thomas Roberts, when he was just 2 years old. The portrait is beautifully painted in strong gouache colours and is in a smart burr walnut frame with a deep gilt mount. The board on which the portrait is painted has a small break but this is only noticeable upon close inspection.

The frame measures 11.5 cms by 12.5 cms overall.
