E.Arthur Rowe1863-1922.Landscape and garden painter.Lived London and Tunbridge Wells.Exhibited at the RA(26) works from1885 also RBA(24) RI(22) and elsewhere ,but mainly at the Dowdeswell Galleries where he showed 543 works.’ The Long Walk,Villa Carlotta,Lake Como Italy ‘ Signed watercolour ,image size 30x45 cms, overall framed size 51x64cms; remnants of exhibition label verso. Andrew Clayton -Payne illustrates a virtually identical view ,as a full page illustration ,in his book ‘Victorian Flower Gardens’ published by Weidenfield and Nicholson.
