A fine and unusual oil painting on a late seventeenth century panel. The painting is quite beautifully done and shows a spray of flowers including roses, carnations and honeysuckle. The oak panel is earlier than the painting which from style probably dates to the late eighteenth or early nineteenth century as it is very similar to painting on furniture of the period. The whole is in excellent condition and ready to hang and would work wonderfully with an oak country interior scheme.
