A really exquisite watercolour miniature by Charles James Barraud. The work shows in amazing detail a landlord at one end of a table talking to customers. The painting is in amazing condition, of bright colour and indeed has never been out of the frame. The gilt frame is completely original and in untouched condition. Charles James Barraud exhibited widely between 1880-1895 including seven times at the Royal Academy, this subject is unusual for him and was probably one of his exhibited works.
