Fine Pair of Victorian Prints After Gainsborough

A fine, large and decorative pair of Victorian prints in the original frames. The pair show typically bucolic country scenes of rural families at work, one retains the original label and title 'The market cart'. The prints have been made by the mezzotint process and do seem to have been hand coloured. The pair are mounted in the original gilt frames with glass, which have had some minor repair and been later gilded. The prints are in good condition with some typical discolouration. The pair are quite large and give a great decorative impact and instant country house grandure. C.1860.
