Madonna Della Seggiola Painting in Florentine Gilt Frame

Description

This is a delightful original painting of Madonna della seggiola, after Raphael, more commonly known as Madonna of the chair. This work has been expertly painted in vibrant gouache colours with extremely fine detail. The quality of the piece is further echoed in its original hand carved Florentine frame which is superbly water gilded. This dates from around 1860.

This measures 39 cms square overall including the frame.

Rams Head Antiques is a family business based in Wolsingham in Weardale where we have had shop premises for 28 years. The shop is generally open every Saturday from 11 am till 3 pm.
