A charming and decorative pair of Edwardian period watercolours of a boy fishing, in original frames. The watercolours which are of a high standard technically and probably illustrations for a story or magazine show a young boy fishing illegally and being caught by the owner, and his dog!. The pair are signed and dated ''J.Shaw. 1910'' but I have been unable to identify the artist, who most likely was an illustrator. The pair are in the original specially made frames which are oak with applied gided decoration and titles for each work. The pair are both in very good condition, the paintings are bright and unfaded, there is some minor foxing.
