As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this lovely quality Bronze Okimono on a hardwood base depicting a prowling Tiger, the artist Atsuyoshi, working for the Maruki company during the latter part of the Meiji period, and apparently specialising in Bronze Okimono of wild Cats, has captured this beast in magnificent detail, purposefully striding, his head raised and roaring in a seemingly menacing pose, the striations and muscular detail are as good as you will see on an Okimono of this nature, artist signed to the underside and accompanied by the Maruki company seal, the Tiger stands upon a Meiji period hardwood base of superior quality, if you love wild Cats don''t miss this one.
