Henry Albert Hartland (1840 - 1893) was an Irish landscape painter. He studied at the Cork school of art. Upon leaving college he worked as a illustrator, supplying local landscape sketches to a Cork bookseller. Henry Albert Hartland left Ireland in 1870, moving to London and latterly Liverpool, where he spent the rest of his life. His work was included in the Guildhall Exhibition of Irish Art in London in 1904, and may now be seen in the Walker Gallery, Liverpool, and the Victoria and Albert Museum, London. At the age of 53, he tragically died as a result of a fall from a cliff outside of Liverpool.
