A really charming and well observed pastel portrait of a bulldog. The work is signed J.W.Fraser who seems to have specialised in animal portraits and while not exhibiting, his works do sometimes come up for auction. The work is in excellent condition and mouted in a Victorian period bird''s eye maple frame. The whole is in excellent condition and ready to hang. C.1900.
