As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this high quality silvered bronze Okimono of a pair of Quail , artist signed by the highly regarded Meiji period metalworker Hidenao , the pair of birds are pegged to a hardwood base and remove for safe packing , the male bird stands guard over the female as she stoops to forage, the beaks are picked out in silver grey Shakudo , the legs and claws painstakingly decorated in gilt bronze, the birds eyes finely detailed in Gilt and Shakudo , the male bird is artist signed within a cartouche, a super quality and charming addition to your collection, also ideal as a special gift .
