As part of our Japanese works of art collection we are delighted to offer this very fine quality bronze Okimono of a Manchurian Crane , signed by a highly regarded Meiji period metalworker Otake Norikuni , the majestic bird rests upon a heavy bronze rocky outcrop, standing poised to pounce upon his quarry, one wing outstretched and the other just unfolding, his gold and shakudo eyes firmly focussed on the prey beneath him , the artist has chiselled the feather work in such fine detail, the chasing to his head and neck are particularly fine, a stunning life like rendition of an everyday occurrence in Japan , a fantastic addition to your Japanese Okimono collection !! signed to the underside of the rocky outcrop Norikuni Zo ( made by Norikuni ).
The condition is quite superb.
