Description

A wonderful oil on board of a continental street scene, maybe Italy, the detail is amazing, clearly painted by an accomplished artist, the painting whilst unsigned does yield some information, the board by Waring and Dimes was produced between 1840-3 so dates the painting nicely.

Also it was possibly painted by an English painter because of the board. The painting lacks its frame.
