A lovely oil on board by Nottingham artist H.Barnett. The painting shows the most delightful spring scene of a woodland clearing with bluebells. H.Barnett is a little know Nottingham artist who exhibited entirely at the Nottingham castle galleries. He seems to have been part of a group of Nottingham artist''s that worked in an impressionist style plein air. The painting is signed and date 1925 and has been professionally cleaned.
