Description

This quality watercolour painting of Bolton Abbey by Samuel Bough (1822-1878) measures 8"x 10" and is signed lower left. It is in a good mount and gilt frame giving an overall size of 16"x 19". Sam Bough was born in Carlisle but travelled around England and Scotland as a scene painter in theatres, later becoming a full time professional landscape painter.
